Our suffering as humans comes from wanting to cling to the good and avoid the bad. But the reality is, happy moments and sad moments pass by equally, and we can neither cling to one and keep it near, any sooner than we can keep our children little and safe forever. All we have is the now—this moment, this breath—in whatever shape or form it seems to be appearing.
